Peterson is a medium co-ed hall. It has both traditional style rooms and suite style rooms in singles or doubles, all air-conditioned. Each of the five floors have a large open lounge area and a study lounge. The first floor has a kitchen, laundry facility and a recreation lounge with a large screen television and Ping-Pong table.
Peterson Hall offers gender inclusive restrooms.
Students do not receive mail at the building. Student mailboxes are at the Granite Station Square (GSS) in the Memorial Union Building.

Traditional rooms (the "pods") are single-gender with each floor being assigned a gender that corresponds to the respective community bathroom on that floor/pod. Suites are single-gender or gender inclusive, with a mixture on each floor.
