Laura Piazza joined UNH Manchester in 2006 as the Graphic Designer in the Marketing & Community Relations Department. Her first task was to redesign the existing logo to reflect a more modern look and convey a community-oriented representation of UNH Manchester. She makes it her goal to create a clean, professional, and consistent look for all the materials that she creates, including ads, posters, postcards, brochures, the newsletter Millworks, to name a few.
She began her career working for a publishing company that produced directories, newsletters, journals and magazines. She moved on to join the creative department at a small advertising agency in Concord, NH and then to the marketing department for a large telecommunications company in Nashua, NH. In May of 2006 she was very pleased to join the college as a graphic designer as the role was new to the college and continues to provide her with variety, exciting challenges and a refreshing job environment.
Piazza graduated from Keene State College in 1997 and from New Hampshire Institute of Art with a two-year certificate in Photography in 2003. Her landscape photographs are on display in local galleries. Additionally, Piazza works as a freelance graphic designer and photographer and co-owns a wedding photography business.
