Do Everything
In talking about opportunities she had during her time at UNH, Sara Sturzo ’16 describes herself as “ridiculously lucky.”
Topping the list of good fortune, she says, are the yearlong internships she had?with UNH Athletics and the Oyster River High School?athletic department. She?also volunteered as a peer advisor.
“Looking back on some of the longest, most tiring days during the past couple of years, I wonder how I did it and maintained the rest of my life,” says Sturzo, a kinesiology major.
Sturzo is headed to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she'll pursue a master’s?in recreational and sport management, while?working as the graduate assistant of sport clubs, a role that should come easily after working for three years at UNH’s Campus Rec.
To incoming freshmen, she says: “Do everything. Network, volunteer, apply to everything, even if you don't think you'll get it. At the end, you'll be proud of each long day and stressful moment, and you will have made your four years mean something.”?
