The Memorial Union Board of Governors is steered by the MUBOG Executive Board, which is composed of the MUBOG Chairperson, the MUBOG Vice Chair, the MUBOG Business Manager, the MUBOG Outreach Coordinator, and the MUBOG Historian. Additionally, two members of the University Administration, the Director of the Memorial Union & Student Activities and the Assistant Director of Programming and Leadership sit as staff advisors to the otherwise student-led board.

The Chairperson represents the Memorial Union Board of Governors, supervises its Executive Officers, and establishes necessary board procedures. They also vote on the MUBOG Executive Board and participate in Student Senate meetings as a member of leadership. The space allocation process is coordinated by the Chairperson, their duties include keeping records of space occupancy within the MUB, overseeing student organization applications, and liaising with the MUB Facilities Manager for space walkthroughs. Additional responsibilities include chairing MUBOG meetings, preparing agendas, and, communicating board decisions to Undergraduate Student Senate.?

The MUBOG Vice Chair's primary duties revolve around being the primary point of contact between Registered Student Organizations (RSO) and MUBOG, as well as managing the Student Organization Collaboration Space, ensuring its maintenance and coordination of storage, supplies, and equipment for shared use. The Vice Chair assists the Chair in many other duties as discussed by the MUBOG Executive Board, and assumes the role of Chair in case of vacancy.??

The MUBOG Business Manager (BM) is the liaison between MUBOG and the Student Activity Fee Committee (SAFC). Their role involves assisting student organizations in enhancing their office spaces, which includes formulating funding proposals for upgrades and presenting these to the Student Activity Fee Committee. The Business Manager facilitates the purchase of the approved items in coordination with the Memorial Union and Student Activities department. Finally, they also oversee the utilization of the budget of MUBOG. ?

The MUBOG Historian is responsible for keeping a record of all the general, committee, and executive board meetings of the Memorial Union Board of Governors. The Historian maintains a working knowledge of the history of the board throughout the years. They are required to be largely non-partisan in MUBOG business to maintain an unbiased record of the meetings.?

The Director of the Memorial Union and Student Activities is the official advisor of the Memorial Union Board of Governors. Their role is to provide support and context to the MUBOG Executive Board, as well as the rest of the board. They also are responsible for hearing space allocation appeals in consultation with the MUBOG Executive Board.
