Beauregard Center Employees

The Beauregard Center offers multiple student employment opportunities. These include internships in marketing, programming, and outreach; student mentors for the CONNECT program; support staff for the Audre Lorde summit; and Front Desk Student staff.??

We engage our student employees with ongoing professional development opportunities tailored to their roles and career goals. In the Fall of 2024, we are piloting our Campus 2 Career partnership with Career and Professional Success (CaPS), through which our student staff may earn micro-credentials for in-demand skills. This program will help them to better articulate their on-campus work experience to future employers.??

We hire through the academic year, especially during the late spring semester. Please review the position-specific section for application process and hire dates. ?

Front Desk Student Workers

Our Front Desk Student Workers provide an integral role in our Center by welcoming incoming guests into our space and Center inventory organization. Front Desk Student Workers are expected to work a minimum of 5 hours/week during center hours. Some key responsibilities for our Front Desk Workers include:??

  1. Serving as an ambassador of the Beauregard Center, welcoming each visitor with a warm greeting and helping them as needed.
  2. Manage Center laptop rental service and answering phone calls made to the front desk including greeting the caller, taking messages, and forwarding calls.??
  3. Maintain Center organization and upkeep by posting and removing flyers, maintaining inventory, and cleaning the physical space as required.??

Student Interns

We offer three Student Intern positions within the Beauregard Center to assist with our marketing, outreach, and programmatic initiatives while providing our students with professional growth opportunities and work experience. Our current Student Intern roles are as follows:?

Outreach Intern

The Outreach Intern serves to champion our mission through active UNH community engagement efforts and participation in Center events. Some key responsibilities of our Outreach Intern include:??

  1. Coordinating the collection of a diverse range of community member testimonials and Instagram takeovers on a weekly posting basis.??
  2. Serve as a representative and ambassador of the Center at Beauregard Center tabling, Open Houses, Center visits, and other Outreach events several times a month.??
  3. Manage additional marketing design and promotion for Instagram, Facebook, Orca, Carousel, and community postering.??

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern serves to champion our mission through consistent content creation and social media management. Some key responsibilities of our Marketing Intern include:??

  1. Design event posters, social media posts, and other marketing materials to be posted on Center social media accounts and around campus while prioritizing accessible design practices.??
  2. Assist in the development of a semester-long marketing plan to maximize student participation.??
  3. Attend Beauregard Center events as assigned to capture photos and/or videos.??

Programming Intern

The Programming Intern serves to champion our mission through consistent programming for students. Some key responsibilities of our Programming Intern include:??

  1. Manage the planning and implementation of bi-weekly ThirsTea Thursday events including creating supply lists, event themes, and marketing.??
  2. Assist with the preparation and takedown of the event with support staff including organizing materials, consolidating expenses, and taking photos.??
  3. Design event posters, social media posts, and other marketing materials relating to ThirsTEA Thursday and Clocked Out programming.??

CONNECT Mentors

Our CONNECT Mentors serve as guides to our CONNECT participants each summer to offer advice, support, and community throughout our early arrival program. Some key responsibilities of our CONNECT Mentors include:??

  1. Facilitate conversations and group activities with assigned mentees throughout the duration of the program days.?
  2. Live and stay on campus during the training and program dates for CONNECT and actively participate in workshops and training sessions.?
  3. Serve as a mentor by answering mentee questions with positivity and honesty, clear communication of expectations, and encouraging participants to build community.??
