An Astronomical Goal
Lots of young girls and boys are fascinated by space — by rockets and spaceships and the idea of traveling to other galaxies. Shawn Swist ’17 was that kid for most of his life. His goal since he was about 12 years old has been to one day work for NASA.
This fall, he’ll take another step toward making that happen when he starts graduate school at Stanford University. Swist is getting his master’s in aerospace engineering.
