Kendre Rodriguez has this advice for new students: “Don’t wait to get involved. If you are having trouble finding your niche, create your own opportunities, and NEVER be afraid of asking questions. When you are curious, doors tend to open.”

Rodriguez ’16 has opened her share of doors. The summer before her junior year, the entrepreneurial studies major founded the Mel Rines ’47 Angel Fund, the first undergraduate student-run angel investment fund in the country. An internship with the Carsey School's?Social Innovation internship program had her creating the first social enterprise incubator and accelerator in Rhode Island, her home state.

The open door brings a job at Google in New York City, where she will be part of a team working to integrate Google’s apps into startups, schools, governments?and Fortune 1000 companies.

“I love working with entrepreneurs and technologists. My passion is to remain in high-tech and explore new venture opportunities,” says Rodriguez, who has served as a dean’s ambassador for the Paul College and an analyst for the school’s Atkins Investment Group. She also was a DJ at WUNH.
