U.S. News & World Report has ranked UNH’s online MBA program No. 40 in the nation. The ranking includes programs at 345 U.S. business schools. Offered by UNH’s Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, the program climbed 11 spots from last year’s No. 51 ranking, and 38 spots since it was first ranked at No. 78 in 2017. It is the highest ranked online MBA program in northern New England.
“Being ranked among the top 50 online MBA programs in the country has been a key goal, and we are very proud to have achieved this,” said Paul College Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands. “We have delivered the online program for seven years, and over the past four years have prioritized this program for continuous innovation and improvement. We believe it best serves New Hampshire and our region.”?
"I really enjoyed that the classes included a big component of discussion so that students are all reflecting on their takeaways and their learnings. It’s a much deeper participation than I ever experienced in any in-person setting." — Jesse McGowan ’18G, vice president, Mikros Technologies, Claremont, New Hampshire
Paul College’s online MBA program has seen steady growth over the past four years—with almost a 150 percent?growth in credit hours—as a greater number of students are choosing this option to earn their master’s degree in business administration.?
“Our online MBA program stands out in three areas,” said Victoria Parker, associate dean for graduate education and faculty administration. “We are the only online MBA program in New Hampshire to hold AACSB accreditation, the highest accreditation standard for business schools worldwide. Online students get the same experience as our students who take classes face-to-face, including being taught by the same accomplished faculty and receiving similar academic supports. Our program is small, high-touch, and our students are experienced professionals who enrich online class discussions and project-based work.”
A distinctive feature of UNH’s online MBA program is that students also can take face-to-face evening courses at either the Durham or Manchester campuses, including hybrid courses that combine both online and face-to-face learning experiences.?
U.S. News ranks online MBA programs based on information regarding five dimensions that contribute to the quality of those programs. These categories include the ability of students to engage with faculty and classmates, the academic strength of the student body, the program’s reputation among leaders of peer programs, faculty credentials and training, and student services and technology. For more information on U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 rankings, visit?Best Online MBA Programs.
