U.S. News & World Report has ranked the University of New Hampshire’s online MBA program among the top 100 programs nationally for the second year in a row.
UNH was the only university in northern New England ranked in the top 100 in?Best Online MBA Programs, coming in at 85 and first in New Hampshire. The University of Maine ranked 131, Franklin Pierce University ranked 146 and New England College at 184.
According to Victoria Parker, associate dean for graduate education and faculty administration in the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics, UNH’s online MBA stands out in two areas: the strength of its faculty and the quality of the student experience.
“Our online MBA program is recognized as a stellar program due to the strength of the faculty and curriculum, which are the same as the part-time, on-campus program. Yet, we also realize that even for the most experienced faculty member, teaching online requires new skills and techniques,” Parker says. “The college and university have made continuous learning and improvement in this area a priority, and our faculty consistently excel in delivering high-quality online learning experiences.”
Paul College also stands out among other online MBA programs in both student engagement and student services: promoting quality interaction between instructors and classmates, providing diverse online learning technologies, 24/7 technology support and career guidance. Online students also can take face-to-face courses at night at either the Durham or Manchester campuses, including hybrid courses that combine both online and face-to-face learning experiences.
Deborah Merrill-Sands, dean of Paul College, commented that she is proud of this U.S. News ranking, which is based on clear quality and performance criteria. The top-100 ranking reflects the investment that the college has made in developing a high-quality online learning experience. She noted that enrollments have nearly doubled in the past two years.?
Paul College offers the only part-time and online MBA programs in New Hampshire that are accredited by the prestigious Association for the Advancement of Collegiate School of Business, considered the “gold standard” of business education.?
