Two associate deans will be stepping into interim roles with the departure of the longtime deans of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS) and the Graduate School.
After more than five years as dean, Samuel Mukasa will be leaving CEPS on June 30 to join the University of Minnesota as dean of science and engineering.
“I would like to record my personal thanks to Sam for his dedicated service to CEPS and to the University of New Hampshire,” P.T. Vasudevan, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, notes in his announcement of Mukasa’s departure.
Associate dean Charles “Chuck” Zercher has agreed to serve as interim dean of CEPS for one year, beginning on July 1.
With Harry Richards retiring as dean of the UNH Graduate School in July after many years of distinguished service, Vasudevan has also announced that associate dean Cari Moorhead will serve as interim dean of the Graduate School for one year.
Vasudevan notes he is looking forward to working with both Moorhead and Zercher in their interim dean roles.
