Registraiton is now open for UNH summer youth programs
Summer is just around the corner, and registration is open for UNH's summer youth programs.
The university offers more than 40 camps and programs ranging from traditional summer day camps to specialty athletics camps to arts camps, STEM programs and a variety of other academic subjects to entertain and educate K-12 youth.
Day and overnight programs are available.
Camps are held on the Durham and Manchester campuses, in the White Mountains, at Mendums Pond and at the Shoals Marine Laboratory on Appledore Island. All programs offer a supportive, safe and fun environment; UNH faculty and staff as well as high school teachers and college students serve as instructors for the programs.
Camps use UNH's state-of-the-art facilities, including athletics fields, labs, theaters, studios, kitchens and many outdoor resources. Some program participants will experience college dorm living and eat in an award-winning dining hall.
Here’s what’s new for 2016:
Investigate! is a two-week day camp explores how kids’ lives have changed over the past 300 years. Campers will explore topics such as farming, hunting, fishing and forestry in local communities. Investigate! takes place Mondays through Fridays, August 1 through 12, for students in grades 6 through 8.
Plant Camp students will learn the basics of growing, identifying and using plants in fun, hands-on ways. This is a day camp for children ages 8 to 12 and runs from June 27 through July 1.
