Dear Faculty, Staff and Students,

It has been wonderful seeing our campuses active again with the start of the spring semester. As the fall semester came to a close, you may remember that we sent a?message to the community?with an update on our commitment to addressing sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence at UNH. Within the message was a promise of more communication in the new year. We’re writing today with that promise in mind.

We announced 22 concrete commitments in our first message that emerged from conversations with students, faculty and staff. To keep you informed about those commitments, we launched a?website?that includes a list of the commitments, their anticipated timeline, the person responsible for coordinating their completion, and their status.

Although many community members have already provided input, we’d like to provide the opportunity for more dialogue. We invite you to join us at a virtual town hall?Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m.?to hear a brief presentation about the commitments and share your feedback or questions. Join us at?https://unh.zoom.us/j/98898339204?or by telephone:?+1 646 876 9923 Webinar ID: 988 9833 9204. The session will be recorded and posted on the website.

Finally, we want to thank the team that recently completed a draft of the?university’s Comprehensive Prevention Plan?. The draft was an important component in developing the list of commitments. We are still working with groups around the university to finalize the plan, and will also discuss it at the virtual town.

Thank you all for your dedication to ending sexual misconduct and interpersonal violence, and we look forward to more conversations in the weeks to come.

Sincerely,

James W. Dean?Jr.
