Dear Members of the UNH Community,
Your safety and well-being continue to be our first priority. This is a stressful situation for everyone, and we thank you for your patience and resiliency as we navigate this quickly changing situation. We are trying to balance advice and guidance from state leaders, federal agencies and health officials with the desire to fulfill our educational mission. In the wake of President Trump’s Oval Office briefing last night, the rapid rise of cases in Massachusetts and our commitment to remain fluid and constantly reassess the situation, when UNH spring break for the Durham and Manchester campuses ends and classes resume Monday, March 23, we will enter into a two-week period during which all academic programs will be 100% online or via other alternative (non-face-to-face) course delivery.
- From Monday, March 23 to Friday, April 3, all classes will be 100% online or via other alternative (non-face-to-face) delivery. Face-to-face classes are currently scheduled to resume Monday, April 6. We will keep you informed if this changes.
- While face-to-face instruction will be suspended, the university will otherwise remain open for normal business operations.
- Those students that are self-quarantined may not return to campus until the end of the self-quarantine period.
- From Monday, March 23, to Friday, April 3, there is no need for students to return to campus.?
- All student meetings and events are cancelled through Sunday, April 5.
- All external events on campus have been cancelled through Sunday, April 5.
- Collegiate and interscholastic athletic events will continue without spectators per guidance from the NCAA.
- During the two-week transition period, on-campus housing will be available on a restricted basis. Please call Housing at 862-2120. Residence halls are currently scheduled to reopen Sunday, April 5, at 9 a.m. We will keep you informed if this changes.
- Students that need access to academic resources and are not in quarantine can request access through their college. Details on how to do this will be made available next week.
- UNH spring break housing will function as normal beginning Friday, March 13. Those residential students who are unable to go home or travel due to concern for their safety or to avoid the need to self-quarantine can access spring break housing by calling Housing at 862-2120. Residence halls reopen Sunday, April 5, at 9 a.m.
- As we have suggested before, please take any devices, textbooks and other critical materials to be able to continue your coursework remotely as well as any personal effects, valuables, medications or other items you may need.
