Dear Fellow Wildcats—
This is an extraordinary time in our history as we all navigate these uncharted waters of the COVID-19 pandemic. I want to thank each of you for what you’re doing amidst these trying and tenuous times. Today was the first day all coursework was transitioned to non-face-to-face remote delivery. This is a new experience for most of our students and faculty, and we must be patient with each other and with ourselves. No doubt there will be bumps along the way, but we are all committed to working together to ensure the academic success of every student. Please use the resources that have been compiled to assist?faculty?and?students?in the transition to remote learning; faculty and staff can also find assistance for their?transition to remote working.

I would like to update you on some other things that are currently happening on campus.
- Our colleagues in Housing designed an orderly and safe system to help students in Durham move out of the residence halls and on-campus apartments through March 30 and then again later in the semester.
- Only 104 students with extenuating circumstances will remain in residential housing on the Durham campus, as well as a small number in Manchester.
- Hamel Rec and the MUB are closed. Just one dining hall remains open to provide takeout meals and many campus buildings are locked with the expectation that employees are working remotely.
- Dimond Library will be open Tuesday, March 24, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with Academic Technology staff available on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Library access is likely to move to remote access only to library resources and services in the next few days; please check the?library’s webpage?. The branch science libraries are closed.?Access to specific physical library materials can be requested from?library@unh.edu?by noon for a pickup in the vestibule of Dimond Library after 3 p.m.?
- People across our campuses in Durham, Manchester and Concord are working to support the state of New Hampshire and its people as well. Working with university police, our research/teaching laboratories and Health & Wellness, we have been coordinating the collection of personal protective equipment and access to equipment, expertise and facilities.?

Now that UNH is operating in remote mode as much as possible, it's nice to know that classes and work will continue despite tonight's predicted snowfall in northern New England.?
