Alec Atwood?is an MP and sergeant in the New Hampshire National Guard and is graduating with his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Forensics and Justice Studies.? His favorite part of studying at UNH was his time spent in the library.? Alec says that he will “never forget the Red bulls, junk food, and Tylenol that got me through some of those finals weeks. It sucks when you’re going through it, but when it’s over and you know you did your best, it feels great.”? The biggest lesson Alec learned on campus was that you can always learn from the person next to you; no matter how big or small, everyone has something to give.? Alec also has this advice for incoming military students: “Communicate with your teachers. ?If you have a military obligation, tell your teachers well in advance.? Most teachers will work with you, but only if you work with them. ?If you ever need someone to talk to, the Veterans’ office is the best place to go.? If you are struggling with rent or you just need a place to decompress, go see them.? They’ll do whatever they can to help out.”? Now that he has completed his studies, Alec hopes to enter the world of law enforcement and looks forward to getting real world experience outside of his textbook learning.
