Kalyn Ryll is a civilian with a passion for helping veteran and military-connected students navigate their path in higher education. Ms. Ryll has over 6 years of experience working in higher education, beginning in career and academic coaching, and most recently serving as the Veteran and Military Services Coordinator at Northern Essex Community College. Prior to entering the field of education, Kalyn worked as a Transition Counselor for the U.S. Army’s Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Arlington, VA. In this role, she provided individual and group counseling to enlisted and senior level active-duty service members, military families, and veterans, with an emphasis on career/education planning, transition assistance and integration into civilian life.

Ms. Ryll has completed a BA in Psychology from Clark University, an MBA from Suffolk University, and an MA in Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. A native New Englander, Ms. Ryll’s family has called northeast Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire home for several generations. She has many family members who are proud UNH alumni, including her grandfather who attended the school with the assistance of the G.I. Bill after serving in the U.S. Army in World War II. She looks forward to helping current and future Wildcats realize the same benefit.

Outside of work, Kalyn enjoys spending time at her family’s camp on Pine River Pond, being outside as much as possible, and watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.
