Alex Iatrou of Peabody, Massachusetts was a senior at the University of New Hampshire. He majored in Political Science, with a minor in Philosophy. He interned at iCivics and dealt with the policy side of their operations. The most exciting part about the opportunity was for Alex to see how government policy is made at the national level, as iCivics was preparing for federal legislation with members of Congress. He hoped to gain a greater understanding of the process of policy research, which he began in the beginning weeks of his internship. Lastly, being Alex's first internship he had to fully adjust to the remote work of our time. He hoped to get used to that and find effective ways to continue to work hard from home, as it may be like that for quite some time!
