Responsible Conduct of Research & Scholarly Activity Committee

The charge of the UNH Responsible Conduct of Research and Scholarly Activity (RCR) Committee is to:

  • Guide the development and implementation of a UNH RCR program, including a web-based program of instruction, complementary formal and informal educational offerings, and ongoing communication with UNH faculty, students and staff about the initiative and related issues,
  • Advise the Senior Vice Provost for Research and Dean of the Graduate School on related policy formulation, implementation and training, and
  • Advocate within the UNH community for the RCR program.

The RCR Committee meets monthly in the Fall and Spring semesters.

    NSF Ethical and Responsible Research (ER2) Program Director Presentation

    The University of New Hampshire’s Responsible Conduct of Research & Scholarly Activity (RCR) Committee invites you to attend a virtual presentation on the National Science Foundation’s (NSF)?Ethical and Responsible Research (ER2) Program. Dr. Jason Borenstein,?Program Director in NSF’s Directorate for Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences, will introduce the program,?including a brief?history of the ER2 program, and discuss the types of proposals that are supported by the?program as well as the merit review process. A portion of the time will be set aside to address the audience’s questions.

    Research projects funded by the ER2 Program examine what constitutes or promotes responsible conduct of research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields as well as how to best instill responsible research practices into researchers, practitioners, and educators at all career stages.
