The University of New Hampshire leverages social media to amplify marketing efforts and press coverage. Therefore, faculty, staff, alumni, students and parents are encouraged to share posts from official UNH accounts to help spread news and relevant information. Click here for the full list of official UNH accounts.
Just know that there may be times you’re engaging on social media from your personal accounts and are perceived as a representative of the University of New Hampshire. As such, please adhere to the following guidelines:
Confidentiality
Do not reveal any confidential, proprietary or sensitive information about UNH students, parents, alumni, faculty or staff. Adhere to all applicable UNH, federal and NCAA privacy and confidentiality policies.
Privacy
Privacy does not exist in social media. Public posts are indexed in search engines, and private conversations can be copied and made available to the public. Once something is posted on social media, consider it there forever so be thoughtful about what you share.
Responsibility
If you identify yourself as affiliated with the University of New Hampshire, you must also make it clear that your views are your own and do not represent those of the university. You may not use the University’s logos, the University Seal, or any other university marks on your personal accounts. A common practice for those who share or write about the industry in which they work is to include a disclaimer, usually in their “188体育app_188体育在线-平台官网 Me” section. This is particularly important if you are a department head, a Dean or an administrator. An example of this would be: The views expressed here are mine alone and do not necessarily reflect the views of UNH.
