There is significant funding available from UNH, the U.S. federal government, as well as private organizations and foundations to help you finance your education abroad.?

UNH Global Undergraduate Education Abroad?Awards?- The Global Education Center manages a variety of scholarship programs and coordinates an awards process in both fall and spring semesters. Many of the awards focus generally on financial need or academic merit. However, a?few have specific eligibility requirements, such the?Diversity Abroad?and?Foley Jackson?awards, and?Yale Maria?for study in the Middle East.?

UNH COLA B. Thomas Trout Scholarship?- This award offers financial assistance to undergraduate NH residents who are majors within COLA applying to a UNH-managed study abroad program within COLA.

UNH COLA Languages Literatures and Culture?-?There are several department scholarships supporting foreign language majors and minors who study abroad.

UNH COLA Fund for Study in Italy?-?Supports UNH COLA students with a demonstrated interest in art, art history, and Italian language who plan on studying abroad in Italy. Awards will be made to one or more selected students each spring and may range between $1,000 and $5,000 per award.

UNH CHHS Sharyn Zunz Scholarship for Social Work Majors?-?Provides meritorious scholarship support to students participating in an academic study and travel program through the University. Recipients must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing.?

UNH?International Research Opportunities Program (IROP)?- UNH undergraduate students from all fields of study may apply in the spring of their sophomore year or the fall of their junior year for substantial grants to conduct nine-week summer research projects abroad. Following a junior year of preparation, students conduct their research during the summer preceding their senior year.

UNH Emeriti Council Student International Service Initiative Grant (EC SISI)?- This grant, initiated by S. Melvin Rines '47, supports opportunities for officially recognized student service organizations to bring their knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise to solve real world problems in disadvantaged areas of the world. Groups must have an advisor and raise on their own a portion of the funds needed for the project.

The?UNH Office of National Fellowships?helps students find and apply for prestigious external funding opportunities such as the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarships, Fulbright, DAAD (German Academic Exchange Program), and Bridging Scholarship (Japan).

UNH Paul College:?International 188体育app_188体育在线-平台官网 Fund Study Abroad Scholarship. Through generous alumni donations, this scholarship is to support eligible Paul College students, and is intended to remove potential financial barriers to enable them to study abroad.? This scholarship awards up to $5,000 to a deserving student who demonstrates need and plans to apply to a study abroad program.??Applications are being accepted until October 1, 2024, for those who would like to go abroad during JTERM or spring 2025.?

Stanley A. Hamel Traveling Fellowship?– This fellowship provides approximately $3,800 for travel in Europe to graduating seniors, or recent graduates. It is coordinated by the?UNH Office of National Fellowships.
