The Rhodes Scholarship is the oldest international educational fellowship. The Rhodes Scholarship enables students to pursue 2 - 3 years of graduate work at Oxford University. There are 32 scholarships awarded each year.

Value:?University and College fees, a personal stipend and one economy class airfare to Oxford at the start of the Scholarship, as well as an economy flight back to the student's home country at the conclusion of the Scholarship.
Eligibility:?Students must be a citizen of the United States, or a lawful permanent resident of the United States prior to and including at least 5 years of the application deadline; at least 18 but not yet 24 years of age (i.e., the applicant must still be 23 on October 1 in the year of application); sufficiently advanced academically to assure completion of a bachelor’s degree before October 1 in the year following election.

Rhodes Recommended Steps and Timeline
- By May 20, 2024: Review the eligibility criteria to ensure you are eligible for the award. Send CV and pre-application to the Office of National Fellowships.
- June 1, 2024: Research master's programs and select your ideal program at Oxford.
- July 1, 2024: Application opens. Review the Information for Candidates.
- July - August: Work on drafts of your academic statement and personal statement.
- August 15, 2024: Complete nomination agreement form.
- August 26, 2024: Internal Deadline.
- Early - Mid-September: Committee interview
- Mid-September: Notification of nomination committee decision.
