Fulbright Application Deadlines
- Last day to begin an application with the Office of National Fellowships: Thursday, August 15, 2024.
- Internal deadline: Tuesday, September 3, 2024, 5pm EST. A full application must be locked for Campus Review to ensure an interview by the UNH Fulbright panel.
- UNH interviews will take place between September 16 - September 27, 2024.
- External (Fulbright) deadline: October 8, 2024, 5pm EST.

Fulbright Recommended Steps and Timeline 2024
- Review the Fulbright website. Attend an upcoming webinar or watch a recorded webinar. Determine if you are interested in a study grant, research grant, or an English Teaching Assistantship (ETA). Determine eligibility.
- Review country descriptions, looking carefully at program descriptions and requirements.
- Now to May 10:?Meet with the Office. We will discuss the following: Your motivation for applying; what country(s) you are looking at; project ideas (research grant); potential affiliations (research grant); teaching/tutoring experience (ETA), preparation for graduate work (study grant); letters of recommendation; and your ambassadorial qualities, leadership experience, and/or ideas for community engagement.?*It is okay if you are still choosing your grant type/location during our meeting.
- Attend a Fulbright In-depth Info Session and Writing Workshop via Zoom. (Dates TBD)
- June 1: Sign and return the nomination agreement form to national.fellowships@unh.edu.
- June 7 - 9: Zoom meeting: elevator speeches with fun facts about your proposed country and your reasons for choosing that country for a Fulbright.
- June - August: Complete drafts and revisions of Statement of Grant Purpose and Personal Statement.
- August 5: First draft of Abstract, Host Country Engagement, Plans Upon Return.
- August 6: Provide to the Office of National Fellowships the names and email addresses for all three recommenders. The Office will send them information packets and steps to submit.
- August 15: Last day to begin an application with the Office of National Fellowships.
- August 27: Request copy of official UNH transcript from the Office of National Fellowships. Last day to send essay drafts to the Office for feedback prior to the internal deadline.
- September 3 (5PM ET): UNH Internal Deadline. A full application must be locked for Campus Review to ensure an interview by the UNH Fulbright panel.
